Reporting to the CEO, the Group People Executive (GPE) is responsible for shaping and executing the people strategy across the Libstar Group. You will work closely with the executive team to define and implement strategies that support organizational success, foster a positive culture, and lead cultural transformation. This role will be instrumental in aligning HR initiatives with business goals, guiding organizational change, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire teams, and experience influencing stakeholders. Focus areas include: Strategic Leadership Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the organisation’s people strategy, aligning it with business goals and key value initiatives. Lead, influence, and drive organisational culture transformation, ensuring alignment between corporate values, mission, and the people strategy. Provide leadership input on organisational design, talent management, and employee experience. Prepare Information for and present to the board within the Social and Ethics Committee, Nominations Committee and Remuneration Committee. Talent Management & Development Embed a talent management framework across the Group Oversee talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier talent and build a diverse workforce. Lead the development and implementation of training and development programs aimed at enhancing skills, leadership capabilities, and career growth. Design succession planning frameworks to ensure leadership continuity, retention of key and high potential people and employee growth. Develop and implement strategies for improving employee retention, reducing turnover, and addressing key employee concerns. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Organisational Culture, Engagement & Change Management Champion the Organisation’s culture, ensuring alignment with the company’s values and mission. Lead change management efforts related to Organisational growth, structural changes, mergers and acquisitions. Lead efforts to create a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace that supports a wide range of employee needs and experiences. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity. Build an environment of transparency, trust, and collaboration among employees at all levels. Performance Management & Rewards Oversee the performance management process, ensuring this aligns with the company’s strategic goals and values. Develop and oversee remuneration policies. Lead compensation and benefits strategies to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. Design and implement incentive programs that reward top performers and align with Organisational key value initiatives. HR Compliance, Employee Relations & Risk Management Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and best practices in all people-related matters. Mitigate Organisational risk through appropriate HR policies and procedures. Foster a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Oversee employee relations (ER) strategies, policies and procedures. Ensure a consistent, fair and equitable ER approach. HR Systems & Analytics Leverage HR systems and data analytics to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making regarding talent strategies, employee performance, and workforce planning. Continuously evaluate HR systems and processes to ensure you support the Group’s needs and growth. You should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources leadership roles, including at least 5 years in an executive leadership position. You must have a proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies that drive business performance and culture transformation, as well as experience leading successful organizational change initiatives, such as restructures, mergers and acquisitions. You should be experienced in managing large-scale HR functions in complex, fast-paced environments, and have expertise in talent management, organizational design, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits. Experience in the manufacturing and FMCG industries is required. A valid driver’s license, own transport, and willingness to travel for business is essential.
