| Description: | My client – a JSE listed FMCG Foods business – is strengthening their internal business intelligence capability and is appointing a Business Intelligence Analyst to take ownership of its Qlik Sense environment. This is a senior individual contributor role that is strongly hands‑on, delivery‑focused and business‑facing. The position carries real ownership of a core BI platform and requires close engagement with stakeholders. It is not a people‑management role and not a passive reporting or dashboard‑maintenance position. This role offers clear ownership of the Qlik Sense BI environment, close proximity to decision‑makers and the opportunity to materially improve the speed, depth and impact of analytics across the business. It is a stable, long‑term position within an established organisation, with scope to grow BI maturity over time. You will be focussed on delivering faster, more meaningful insights by being embedded in the business, working closely with stakeholders, and continuously improving how data is translated into decision support. It is a hands‑on role suited to an experienced Qlik Sense analyst who values ownership, speed and commercial impact. Take end‑to‑end ownership of the design, development and ongoing enhancement of Qlik Sense dashboards and reporting solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand information needs, define KPIs and translate requirements into clear, actionable insights. The role includes building and maintaining robust data models and ETL scripts, optimising Qlik applications for performance and usability, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity and consistency of data. Beyond delivery, you will contribute to improving BI standards and practices over time, supporting adoption across the business and helping stakeholders extract greater value from existing data assets. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field, with at least three years’ proven, hands‑on experience developing in Qlik Sense. Strong capability in data modelling, ETL scripting and SQL is essential, as is experience working directly with business stakeholders. You should be comfortable operating independently, managing multiple priorities and working in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or other operationally complex environments will be advantageous, as will exposure to cloud‑based data platforms, ERP systems such as Syspro, financial data and tools such as NPrinting or other BI platforms.
