| Description: | My client is building out their Group Centre of Excellence capability and is seeking a Group Remuneration & Benefits Manager to partner closely with the Group People Executive in shaping a fit-for-purpose, future-ready Total Rewards environment across a complex, multi-business landscape. This is a newly created, strategic role within a group of ~6,500 employees and a significant annual payroll budget, thus requiring an individual who brings deep subject matter expertise and the ability to put foundational structures in place. The mandate You will design and embed a coherent, standardised Total Rewards framework across the Group, aligning practices into a single, scalable model that supports business performance, governance, and employee value proposition. Key focus areas include: Retirement & benefit structures – Rationalisation of legacy funds – Migration toward a unified Group fund approach Remuneration architecture – Harmonising CTC/TGP methodologies across Business Units – Salary benchmarking and pay competitiveness Incentive frameworks – Design and governance of short- and long-term incentives (LTIF) Payroll & financial integration – Deep understanding of payroll structures, controls and downstream financial impact (Sage 300 environment) – Driving a shift from finance-led outputs to people-centric, decision-useful data Analytics & insight – Leveraging data to inform RemCo, workforce planning and retention strategies Governance & risk – Ensuring compliance across benefits, statutory frameworks and reporting obligations What will differentiate you Ability to bring structure and order to complexity within a decentralised environment Track record in building foundational frameworks from the ground up Strong commercial acumen — able to operate comfortably at the intersection of HR, Finance and Risk Comfortable engaging at EXCO / RemCo level with credible, data-led insights A genuine Centre of Excellence mindset — this is not an operational or developmental role Experience required Relevant degree (BCom / Finance / HR or similar) with postgraduate qualification preferred Proven experience in Remuneration & Benefits at a senior, specialist level Demonstrated exposure to: Retirement funds and benefit structures Incentive design (including LTIPs) Payroll governance and financial controls Reward analytics and benchmarking Strong proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI advantageous) Why this role This is a high-impact build role — ideal for a specialist who wants to shape and standardise reward practices across a sizeable, diverse group, while partnering closely with leadership on strategic people and cost decisions.
